On Alex's task...

trapped, muzzled, sweating, enclosed,

the loudest vibrations yet no sound at all

seeing but separate

an underwater environment in the air

the heat increases, body is free yet the senses are trapped,

wire pulling to the floor, following, tracking the movement, moored to the floor

Alex signs instructions

the heat increases, breathing becomes harder, thoughts of my day flicker whilst my body goes to autopilot. the need for cold air.

sweat accumulates, trickles past my eye

the heat increases

juddering, release.
