Alex Thoughts Day 7

Day two (so what?)

There are only four ways you can flip the pancake (which by the way on a good day has two sides):

Structured form/structured content

Structured form/improvised content

Improvised form/structured content

Improvised form/ improvised content

Just to throw it out there: in the grand scheme of things, how vital is the knowledge, and I do mean a scientific explanation of why I prefer lamb meat to pork, sometimes and other times vice versa?

Does anybody care?

Is there anybody out there?

I must quote myself on this one: “You can learn as much from staring at a wall as by looking in the mirror.”

I am starting to get a grip.

Bukowski wrote in his literary will: “Life is short. You have to drink more beer and fuck a lot of beautiful women. A lot of them and drink more beer and write a few decent love poems…etc”

One might be inclined, after glancing at the author’s life, to take that advice literally, but it could be interpreted as: “Life is short. Find what you’re good at and stick with it. Find what you like and do it over and over again without forgetting to do what you’re good at and from time to time have the courage to wonder into the unknown; its familiarity will probably surprise you.”

“We think by feeling.
What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep and take my waking slow.”

Theodore Roethke

The characters in this life are based on real people.
